A PREMIERE INDIAN CLASSICAL ALUMNI DANCE TEAM
Samsara is the first Indian Classical Alumni Dance Team in the United States. Founded in 2016, our members come from several universities across the nation, in hopes of continuing to create and explore Indian classical dance in the next chapter of life beyond college. Samsara is a non-profit organization with the purpose of educating, supporting, and promoting awareness of Indian classical dance forms, including but not limited to Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kathak, etc.
We perform yearly as an exhibition act for Indian classical dance competitions (such as Dhirana and Laasya) and other events in the Desi dance circuit. We also conduct dance workshops, educational sessions, and fundraising events in the Indian-American diaspora.
